Born and raised in Ybor City, Anna attended Phillip Shore Elementary and Jr. High, graduated from Jefferson High School and than went to Brewster Tech where she got her certificate in accounting.
Anna worked at the Centro Asturiano Hospital for 30 years as Head of Accounts Payable and Payroll and also as the Administrator's Assistant. When the hospital closed it's doors in 1990, she was asked by the Administrator to stay another year. The plans were to reopen the hospital, but the deal never went through. At that time the President of the Centro Asturiano Club offered her a job as the Executive Director, and the following year Anna became the first lady in the history of the Club to be elected by the Board as the Corporate Secretary. Since the closure of the hospital the club had lost most of it's 5000 members and was in dire need of funds, that's when she came up with the idea of "Casablanca", a Latin disco in the ballroom. Every Saturday night Anna and her husband Raul would volunteer their time from 7 P.M. in the evening to 3:30 in the morning at the disco. They would pack the ballroom with people waiting in line to get in. "Casablanca" was so successful that it brought in thousands of dollars and saved the building from being sold. It opened it's doors and 1992 and closed in 2000.
It was during these years that Anna started volunteering by involving herself in the different organizations to help Ybor City and it's historical buildings. She got a call from the late Sam D. Leto asking her to join the Ybor City Round Table, and before she knew it she was the Secretary. She was Secretary for 12 years and Chairman of the Sam D. Leto Award Committee for 7 years. The Ybor City Round Table is an organization that helps maintain all the historical buildings in Ybor City. All the proceeds of the funds raised are split among these buildings. She joined the Ladies Auxiliary of the Centro Asturiano Club which raised thousands of dollars for an elevator. She was also involved in writing of some grants for the club. She was asked by Vince Pardo and Fernando Noriega to join the Historic Structures Consortium of Ybor. She is the Treasurer of the Ybor City Lions Club, an international organization for the visually impaired.. The Ybor City Lions Club has raised thousands of dollars throughout the years and every years donates a See Eye Guide dog.
Anna is the Treasurer of the Housing & Education Alliance board and was recently appointed by Mayor Iorio to the City of Tampa "Human Rights" board.
Anna is currently employed by the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce as their Events Coordinator. In 2007, Anna was presented with an award for her 10 years of extraordinary service and professionalism by the Ybor City Chamber President Tom Keating and than Chairman of the Board, Wes Miller.
Throughout the years she has been recognized by the different organizations for her commitment to Ybor City and continues to promote the cultural preservation and revitalization of the community.
Anna was married to Raul Ramos for over 30 years a retired Mechanical Engineer, who recently passed away. She has a daughter Cindy Toselli, who works for the City of Tampa,
Son-in-law Chris Toselli, Contractor, a granddaughter Gabrielle Toselli and a grandson Natale Toselli the 4th, better known as C. J.
