HEA has been involved in Financial Literacy from its founding; our staff has been conducting Financial and Homeownership education workshops and seminars since 2002.

HEA staff each has an average of 20 years experience in the fields of real estate, mortgage, title and adult education. HEA staff provides clear and unambiguous techniques on money management, credit and general personal finance for the express purpose of purchasing and maintaining your first home.



The Financial Literacy program being offered by HEA will take the student from understanding banking and the importance of having a savings or checking account or both. Understanding credit issues, establishing new credit, resolving credit issues, opening new credit or closing existing accounts, managing your credit score, who or what is FICO, what is the Vantage Score, who are the credit reporting agencies and why do I care?

HEA staff has developed a curriculum based on programs from Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD, NeighborWorks America, Citigroup and other industry related organizations.
